SOFT SUMMER NIGHT IN FORT DAVIS
Tourists go to MacDonald Observatory, Davis Mountains State Park and of course, the namesake frontier fort in town. But they don't always venture the unpaved back roads of tiny Fort Davis, Texas. Near the fort is the last unpaved section of the Overland Trail, houses that have sheltered three or four generations of frontier families, windmills that still pump water into backyard tanks. At sunset, it's easy to believe nothing has changed in all the years of history found in this special place in Far West Texas.
FYI: The original pastel painting is only 3" x 5", so this wee one is actual size.
