Earth Day April 22 Inspiration

Landscape painting is a solitary endeavor.

That doesn't mean I do it alone.

I couldn’t do what I do without the Earth!

As a landscape painter, I'm privileged to live under big, unpolluted skies, to hike for hours without encountering another soul, without the distractions of "progress". So, my southwest landscape paintings speak of solitude, of quiet beauty in remote places untouched by man. My Texas skyscapes celebrate soft summer dawns and sunsets raging with unabashed color.

I paint to share earth's amazing diversity, her many moods. (Yes, Earth is most certainly female. Ask any meteorologist.)

My favorite subjects are hidden places, fleeting moments as we orbit the sun. Every day, Ms. Earth offers gifts of splendor: sights, smells, birdsong... Too often we hurry past her offerings, yet she keeps gifting us. I thank Ms. Earth from the bottom of my heart. She's a lovely, wild child who I never tire of painting, and I'm so very glad we share our journey through space.

I couldn't be a landscape painter without the Earth.

I couldn't be an artist without YOU.

So on Earth Day, April 22 2018, here’s a little something to show my appreciation!

Shop my online studio store's collection of signed and matted 5" x 7" prints from now through Earth Day, and when you apply code EARTH at checkout, you'll get each print for only $22, including free shipping of your order to a single domestic USA address. (It's my way of saying, May the Force be With You on April 22, 2018: Earth Day.)

Cheers, Ms. Earth. Enjoy your day. We couldn't circle the sun without You!
