Enhanced Prints |  8x10 LIMITED ORIGINALS

Lindy Cook Severns Remarques | Unique & Affordable Wall art

Upon receiving your order, Lindy prints a single 8" x 10" giclee on fine art paper with archival inks on heavy, non-reactive paper. Then comes the magic: with pastel pencils and hard pastels, the Big Bend artist paints on top of that print. This creative process differs each time. Nothing is mass-produced. The artist simply creates new Lindy Cook Severns art.

More complex than highlighting,  enhancing brings out detail and adds subtle new elements, a flower, a branch, a cloud. It recaptures color nuances lost in the printing process. Such attention makes a Lindy remarque a one-of-a-kind work of art, a painting in its own right, so Lindy paints out her original signature before signing the painting especially for YOU.

Single matted in heavy, conservation ivory mat board, the warm neutral mat complements all artwork, all decor.

A framer can replace this mat with a wider double or triple mat in colors you choose, but the world being jam-packed with choices, we only stock ivory.

Matted to outer dimensions of 11" x 14", an 8" x 10" remarque fits a standard-sized readymade frame. Acid-free foam board backing facilitates framing and protects your fine art for generations. A clear, resealable bag and ribbon-tied foam board case make an attractive gift presentation while adding security.

Domestic shipping in a nifty secure fine art box via USPS Priority Mail is free, even to multiple locations. Insurance is included.

COOK  SEVERNS

Big Bend Artist

Old Spanish Trail Studio

Big Bend Artist Lindy Cook Severns, a seventh generation Texan,  paints real places in the wild American west, the high desert ranch lands of Far West Texas and Big Bend country.  Lindy's paintings hang in most every state in the USA, and in collections in England, Australia, Germany and Canada.  The pastel landscape artist | oil painter is among 35 artists selected for inclusion in the definitive book TEXAS TRADITIONS, CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS OF THE LONE STAR STATE, Michael Duty and Susan Hallsten McGarry, 2010.

Featured in the national 2016 PBS documentary WESTERN PERSPECTIVE, the southwest landscape painter lives on a working ranch in the Davis Mountains near Ft Davis and Marfa with husband Jim, a stubbornly affectionate rescued terrier and a cranky African Grey parrot who passionately loves art.  Her studio sits across the road from Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum, where Lindy is the Artist-In-Residence.
